Suspicious activity

Wincanton rural neighbourhood team have seen an increase in suspicious activity/circumstances in our rural communities. Most recently we have had reports of non-dwelling burglaries and activity leading up to these events.

We would like to encourage people to report any information or intelligence by emailing our mailbox SomEastNPTSomertonan@avonandsomerset.police.uk or calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.

This is really important for us to priorities areas which need proactive patrols to deter this from occurring. If you see us in the local area please flag us down for a quick chat about any ongoing problems.

  Wincanton rural neighbourhood team have continued to do patrols over the Christmas period on late shifts ensuring that our visibility and disruption reducing crimes from occurring.

  As a team we really need the information and intelligence to be submitted to us through 101, email or online submission. If this needs urgent police attendance then please call 999.

  Going into the new year this will continue, we hope to get out in numbers to help cover the large rural areas.
