ASB in the Shopping Centre

Over this summer a large group of youths have caused ASB in and around Yate shopping Centre mostly around Tesco store.

This includes large gatherings of groups, using intimidating and abusive behaviour

We have completed a patrol visibility and engagement plan around the behaviour of youths in the shopping centre. This has allowed the Beat Team to target key individuals causing issues. As a result we have issued 2 young people with two acceptable behaviour contracts and another young person with a Community Protection Warning.

The Yate Beat Managers are pleased to report that following consultation with the security at Yate Shopping Centre there has been a reduction in anti-social behaviour in the centre in the lead up to Christmas and into the New Year.
