Investigative Support

Avon and Somerset Police Investigations department is looking for Investigative Support Specialists. Your main duty will be to provide appropriate support and assistance to Investigative Officers. 

We are looking for people to join the team who will work closely with investigators and victims completing tasks to help progress serious and major crime investigations and a variety of enquires, keeping people updated, completing and reviewing tasks and actioning accordingly.

Your duties will include liaising with victims and witnesses, booking appointments in line with their requirements, interviewing witnesses to obtain statements and compiling written reports and statements of evidence as appropriate.

To apply for this role, you will have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and have excellent interpersonal skills. You must have established organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your own workload and to use initiative.

Post holder should have ability to write concise and accurate reports.

 It will be requirement to drive and hold a driving licence but reasonable adjustments will be considered for those who have a disability.

Working pattern – Flexible working, full time, part time and job share applications will be considered. Please specify if you are seeking an arrangement other than full time and how you anticipate this may be managed in the role you are applying for.
