Man charged after racially-aggravated incident in Bristol

A 59-year-old man has been charged following a racially-aggravated incident in Bristol on Saturday (7 March).

Benjamin Gray, of Eastville, will appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 9 March).

He has been charged with Section 4 Public Order causing fear or provocation of violence, racially-aggravated assault by beating, and assault by beating.

The charges follow an incident in which members of the public were racially abused and a woman was assaulted in Cheltenham Road.
