Man charges with driving offence

A 37-year-old man will appear in court to face drink drive charges next month.

Darren Wines, of Lightgate, South Petherton, has been charged with drink driving, driving while disqualified, without insurance and for driving over the speed limit.

The charges come after an officer pulled over a motorcyclist on the A303 approaching Cartgate Eastbound carriageway on Thursday 9 April at around 1.30am.

He will appear at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 20 May.
