Photo released to identify man in sexual assault investigation

We’re issuing a photo of a man we’d like to speak to in connection with an investigation into a sexual assault.

A man was walking on Clifton Down sometime between 1pm and 1.30pm on Saturday 11 July, when he was approached by a man who started a conversation with him.

He then walked up to the victim and sexually assaulted him.

The man in the photo is described as white, in his mid to late fifties, and he was wearing a light t-shirt. We believe he was driving a black and red Vauxhall Mokka, or a similar vehicle.

DC Danielle George, officer in the case, said: “This was a distressing incident for the victim and we’re giving him any support he needs, as well as keeping him fully updated on the progress of our investigation.

“We’d like to hear from anyone with information on the identity of the man in the photo, or anyone who was on Clifton Down around the time of the incident who saw a man matching this description.”
