Three arrested after firearm discharged in South Bristol
We have made three arrests in relation to an incident in Bristol yesterday (Wednesday 5 August).
An investigation has launched after we received a report a firearm was discharged near a property in Pavey Road at around 1pm on Wednesday 5 August. Nobody was injured during the incident, and we are working to establish exactly what happened.
Officers have been working since the incident occurred to identify and locate the individuals responsible, and three people are now in police custody.
Two men, one in their late teens and the other in their forties, and a woman in her thirties, have been arrested and remain in custody while the investigation continues.
The investigation is in its early stages, but a number of accounts have been taken, witnesses have been spoken to, and CCTV and house-to-house enquiries are ongoing.
We understand this would have been an incredibly concerning incident to people living in the area, but we deployed a significant number of resources to the scene at the time of the incident, including the National Police Air Service helicopter and specially trained firearms units.
