Witness appeal after fatal A38 collision – Thurloxton

Officers are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Somerset yesterday evening (Thursday 13 August).

We received a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian pushing a bike on the A38 at Thurloxton, at around 9.20pm.

Upon arrival officers administered first aid but, despite their efforts, the man died at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

The A38 was closed in both directions while emergency services attended the scene. It has since reopened.

We are keen to hear from any witnesses or motorists with dashcam footage that may have captured relevant footage.
