Witness appeal following serious assault in Yeovil
We are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was the victim of a serious assault in Yeovil.
The incident is believed to have taken place between 11.50pm on Saturday 25 July and 12.05am on Sunday 26 July.
The victim was walking from the St Michael’s Avenue area towards Hawthorn Road when he was assaulted by an unknown offender.
The incident is thought to have taken place somewhere along the route, which includes St John’s Road, St Michael’s Avenue and Northbrook Road.
The victim sustained significant facial and head injuries which required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged and is recovering.
Officers have carried out extensive enquiries, including house-to-house visits and CCTV enquiries, and these remain ongoing.
We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious, or who may have relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from St John’s Road, St Michael’s Avenue, Northbrook Road or the surrounding area between late on Saturday 25 July and the early hours of Sunday 26 July.
