CCTV and witness appeal following jewellery theft

We are appealing for witnesses and relevant footage which could assist our enquiries into the theft of jewellery in Bristol.

An unknown offender arranged to meet a woman who was selling a diamond ring in Duncombe Lane, in Speedwell, at around 4.40pm on Saturday 5 September.

He snatched the ring from the woman’s hand without handing over any payment and fled the scene through Barton Fields. We have maintained contact with the victim who has been offered access to any support services she may benefit from.

The offender is described as an Asian man, who is estimated to be aged between 19 and 24, around 5ft 3ins tall, who was wearing shorts and a black jacket.

The ring is described to have four bands of diamonds throughout its circumference.

The investigation is in its early stages, but CCTV and extensive house-to-house enquiries have been carried out, intelligence checks have been conducted, and we are now appealing to the public to come forward with information.
