CCTV appeal following assault

We are issuing an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with an incident in Picton Street on Monday 3 August.

We are appealing for the public’s help to identify this man following an assault in Bristol earlier this month.

The man pictured is described as white, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, in his thirties, with short, dark hair. He is shown wearing a grey hooded-jumper with a white logo and black jogging bottoms.

We believe he may be able to aid our enquiries into an incident which occurred in Picton Street, Bristol, on Monday 3 August.

At around 11.40pm, two men were having an altercation on the junction of Picton Street and York Road.

A passerby tried to intervene and attempted to separate the two men, but was struck on the back of the head with a brick.

The victim sustained a cut to the head which thankfully did not require hospital treatment.
