CCTV appeal in connection with assault

We are releasing an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Yeovil.

A man was assaulted by a group of males unknown to him outside a kebab shop in Stars Lane, Yeovil, at around 11:30pm on Friday 17 July.

The victim, a man in his twenties, was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious and has since been discharged. We do not believe there to be any wider risk to the public.

We have carried out a number of enquiries in relation to the incident, including a trawl of CCTV, intelligence checks, and have spoken to witnesses, and we are now releasing an image of a man who we would like to speak to because we believe he may have information which could assist our enquiries.

The male, pictured, is described as white, between the ages of 18 and 25, who is wearing a black T-shirt, dark trousers, and white shoes. No more details surrounding his description have yet been established.
