Man appears in court to face drugs charges – Bath

A 22-year-old man has appeared in court after being charged with drug offences.

Regis Mbongompasi, from Newport, appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday 24 September) charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine) and for being in possession of class B drugs (cannabis).

The charges come after a PCSO on patrol in Bath was approached and received information from a member of the public. Officers based in Bath subsequently attended an address in the city and and located a quantity of drugs in the address.

Mbongompasi was remanded into custody during the hearing yesterday and will next appear at Bristol Crown Court on Monday 26 October.
