Man due in court after fatal A361 collision

The scales of justice and the words

A 21-year-old man is due in court next month after a police investigation into the fatal collision in Rode in January in which Alfie Belcher sadly died.

The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charges of causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving without due care while unfit through drink, and causing death by driving a vehicle unlicensed and uninsured for Alfie Seviour, of Frome.

He is due to appear at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 6 October.

It follows the collision on the A361 on 17 January.

Alfie Belcher, 20, was a passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family continue to be updated and supported by a specially trained family liaison officer.
