Officers investigating fatal collision in Kingswood

Officers are investigating a fatal collision in Kingswood today (Wednesday 16 September).

We were called just before 1.20pm to Regent Street following reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian.

Sadly the pedestrian, a woman in her seventies, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time.

Her family is being offered support by a specialist family liaison officer.

Regent Street remains closed while enquiries are carried out and motorists are advised to seek an alternative route.
