Witness appeal after child involved in collision

We are appealing for witnesses and anybody with information in relation to a fail to stop collision involving a child in Bristol.

A boy, 12, was pushing an electric scooter while crossing Stapleton Road, near the junction with Easton Way, when he was involved in a collision with a car between 4.37-4.47pm on Sunday 2 August.

The vehicle is described as a dark blue BMW which left the scene following the collision along Stapleton Road towards the city centre.

The boy was taken to hospital for treatment for broken bones in his left foot and he has since been discharged to continue his recovery at home.

We have made a number of enquiries in the area as investigations continue, but we are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident, those with information, or anybody with relevant CCTV, mobile phone, or dashcam footage to come forward.

The vehicle was described to be occupied by five people during the incident. The driver has been described as male, of Middle Eastern appearance, in his late twenties, who had a beard, short black wavy hair, who was wearing glasses and a white T-shirt.
