Witness appeal after fail to stop collision
We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Bristol last month.
A rider of a Yamaha YZF-R1 suffered a broken leg after being involved in a collision with a black BMW at the Fitzroy Road junction with Berkely Road, in Speedwell, between 6.30-6.40pm on Monday 3 August.
The rider of the motorbike, a man in his forties, was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged to continue his recovery at home. We remain in contact with him and have offered him access to any support services he may benefit from.
The driver of the BMW, who is reported to have left the scene in the direction of Lodge causeway, has been described as a Black male who is around 5ft 10ins-6ft 2ins tall. No more details have been established in relation to his description.
We have carried out CCTV and house-to-house enquiries, have spoken to witnesses, and we are now appealing to the wider public to come forward while the investigation continues.
