A 53-year-old man has been charged following a fatal collision on the A361 in Frome.

Jobey Jason Smith, of Chilcompton in Radstock, appeared before Bristol Magistrates Court on Friday 9 October, after being charged with causing death by driving without due care and attention while over the prescribed limit for alcohol.

It follows an investigation into a two-car collision at the junction of the A361 with the A362 on Monday 8 April 2024, in which 25-year-old Natasha Poore, of Evercreech, died.

Smith was released on unconditional bail and will next appear at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday 11 November.
