Witness appeal following vodka theft
We are appealing to witnesses and anybody with information relating to the theft of a significant amount of vodka in the Somer Valley area.
We were called after a white HGV arrived at a yard in Third Avenue, Westfield Industrial Estate, Radstock, with a substantial amount of premium vodka missing from its load at around 5pm on Friday (2 October).
CCTV enquiries have been carried out, witnesses have been spoken to, but we are now appealing to the public for any information which could assist our enquiries.
We are particularly keen to hear from any witnesses who may have seen a white man, estimated to be aged in his fifties, with a long white beard, a brown leather cowboy hat, and a sleeveless high-visibility jacket, unloading a white lorry in the Somer Valley area on the day of the offence.
We are also appealing to anybody with other information, and those with CCTV or dashcam footage which assist with our enquiries, to contact us.
A man, in his late forties, has been arrested on suspicion of theft and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
If you can help, complete our online appeals form or call 101 and give the call handler the following reference number 5226282612.
