We are releasing an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with an incident at a supermarket in Wells last month.

An unknown offender entered the premises on Tucker Street at 7.35pm on Thursday 15 October before stopping and staring at a staff worker.

The offender then carried out an indecent act and when he was challenged, he made threats and assaulted staff. Nobody suffered serious injury nor received hospital treatment.

We have spoken to the victim in this case who has been offered access to any support services they may benefit from, and CCTV enquiries have been carried out while the investigation continues.

We are now at the stage where we are issuing an image of a man we would like to speak to because we believe he may have information which could assist our enquiries.

The man, pictured, is described as white, around 5ft 5ins tall, who is wearing black trousers, grey leggings with black shorts over the top, and a black raincoat.

Any witnesses or those with information on the identity of the man in the image are asked to call us on 101 quoting reference 5226339007 or complete our online appeals form.

If you can help, complete our online appeals form or call 101 and give the call handler the following reference number 5226339007.
