A 22-year-old man has appeared in court following a police investigation which led to a missing teenage girl being found.

Akam Mohammedi, of Stoke Gifford, was charged with six offences – two counts of keeping away a child in care without lawful authority and four counts of making an indecent image of a child (two category A, one category B, and one category C).

At Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (5 November) he was released on conditional court bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 8 December.

He is an Iranian national whose self-defined ethnicity is ‘any other Asian background’.

The victim continues to be safeguarded.
