You should only complete the online application form if you are requesting access to third-party material related to legal proceedings. Find out how to request information about a vehicle incident.
On receipt of your request, we will assess the scope of the information sought. You will be notified of what information is available and we will provide you with a fees notice.
Examples of material we would typically provide, if available, include:
- police report – redacted
- client or witness statements – consent
- client interview contemporaneous notes made under caution – consent
- additional witness statements – consent
- additional witness statements – no consent, redacted
- body-worn video footage
- CCTV or dashcam footage
The material considered for disclosure is in line with the guidance provided by the NPCC/CPS Disclosure of Material to third parties.
We will provide you with the information once final payment has been received.
It may not be appropriate to provide you with information:
- relating to third parties you do not represent
- in an unredacted format without consent
Each matter is reviewed on a case-by-case basis and we will advise you of this on receipt of a request. It may be the case that to access the information you would require a court order.
