Our Neighbourhood Policing Team is carrying out proactive patrols across rural areas, including villages, farms, and isolated properties. These patrols aim to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to our rural communities.

We’re working closely with residents to help protect property and reduce opportunities for crime.

How to keep your belongings safe in rural areas:

    • Secure outbuildings and sheds with strong locks and consider alarm systems.
    • Mark and register valuable equipment such as tools, machinery, and trailers using schemes like Immobilise.
    • Keep gates locked and use robust chains or padlocks on field entrances.
    • Report suspicious activity immediately—even small details can help us prevent crime.
