A further three arrests have been made as part of our investigation after a firearm was discharged in South Bristol yesterday (Wednesday 5 August).
Three men, all in their thirties, have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Yesterday evening, officers arrested two men, one in their late teens and the other in their forties, and a woman in her thirties, for similar offences. They all remain in police custody.
An investigation was launched after we were called to Pavey Road, in Hartcliffe, at around 1pm when we received reports of a firearm being discharged.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident but we recognise this is an incredibly concerning incident to people living in the area.
Patrol and firearms officers were deployed shortly after the initial report and the National Police Air Service were also utilised in the searches.
Officers from our Neighbourhood Policing Team remain in the area conducting high-visibility reassurance patrols and we encourage anyone with concerns to speak with them.
